I understand that life is busy, which is why I offer the convenience of after-hours and Telehealth appointments. Telehealth sessions with a psychologist is a very convenient & private way of receiving mental health support without the need to travel.
Telehealth appointments are just the same as face-to-face appointments except that you will be speaking with me on your phone or laptop rather than being in the same room face-to-face.
Peta sees adolescents (16+) and adults of all ages.
Individual therapy sessions are offered face-to-face in the clinic in Baldivis and/or via telehealth.
Peta believes that every client is unique and deserves a personalised treatment plan. She works closely with her clients to develop a plan that suits their individual needs, goals, and preferences. Focusing on the client’s strengths to develop and improve coping skills, Peta draws on a range of evidence-based practices (see Therapies and Treatment) and regularly reviews progress to make sure her clients are getting the most effective treatment possible.
Fear and anxiety are associated with many mental health conditions. These feelings of most often linked to anxiety disorders, such as specific phobias, agoraphobia, social anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, and panic disorder. We use evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), to help clients address their symptoms and develop long-term coping skills.
Depression is one of the most common of all mental health conditions. Whilst we all get sad, feel low or lacking in energy at times, people with depression experience these feelings more intensely and for longer. They can find it difficult to carry on with regular daily tasks during periods of depression.
Finding the right treatment and support can help you learn how to manage your depression and start to feel better. We use evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to help clients address their symptoms and develop long-term coping skills.
Our stress management sessions are designed to teach clients practical skills and strategies to manage stress more effectively. We help clients identify the sources of their stress and develop coping mechanisms to reduce its impact on their daily lives.
Our life transitions sessions help clients navigate major life changes, such as becoming a parent, divorce, retirement, career changes, or the diagnosis of a serious and/or chronic health condition. We provide clients with the support and guidance they need to cope and navigate their way through these transitions.
Our self-esteem and confidence sessions help clients build a positive self-image and develop greater confidence in themselves and their abilities. We help clients identify negative self-talk and belief patterns and replace them with more positive and empowering ones.
Our mind-body wellness sessions help clients cultivate greater awareness of the mind-body connection and develop practises to support their overall health and well-being. We offer a range of mind-body techniques, such as mindfulness, relaxation, and breathing techniques which can help clients reduce stress, improve sleep, and enhance their overall quality of life.
