Medicare rebates are available under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. The current rebate is $96.65. To be eligible for Medicare rebates, you must have a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).
A MHCP provides rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. After your first 6 sessions you will need to return to your GP to review your progress, after which they can provide a re-referral for an additional 4 sessions, if required.
How do I get a MHCP?
Prior to your first session with me, you will need to see your GP or psychiatrist and ask if you are eligible for a MHCP.
You will need to provide my details for the referral

How to claim using your Private Health Cover
Rebates are available from most private health funds. It’s important to consult your Private Health Cover policy or call them to determine the rebates available to you.
You CANNOT claim a Medicare rebate and a Private Health Fund rebate on the same appointment. Many people choose to use their Medicare sessions first, and then use their private cover for additional appointments – some funds even require this now.
In order to use your private health cover, we can provide you with a receipt and if eligible, you will be able claim your refund direct from your provider.
Whilst this practice is not a registered NDIS provider, we are able to see NDIS clients who are either plan or self-managed.
